THE BOOK: (The Complete Offshore Employment Handbook) Originally written in 1976, this book has been updated numerous times and contains the latest in helpful but hard to find information. It does not matter if you are an 18 year old fresh out of high school looking for that first entry level position or you have 25 plus years working on all types of rigs all over the globe. If you are going to use the internet in your offshore job search, you need the above items.
This might seem elementary to some, but you would be surprised how many people try to do this job (the job of finding a job) without the necessary tools and then wonder why they get no response.

Professional Resumés: The other service we offer is that of writing a professional, effective resumé for those who realize how important it is to make that all important favorable first impression.
You need to treat every resumé you send out as having the potential to produce an interview for you. It is amazing how many people spend an untold number of hours sending out half assed resumés. Half assed resumés will get you half assed results at the very best. More than likely they will get no results at all.

And finally, I don't want you to get the impression that just because you use this site (free side or paid side) a wonderful job is going to magically fall into your lap. Yes, there are people who actually believe this.
A large number of online job seekers seem to have been infected by the "click here for instant job" virus. Ultimately, the job of finding a job is up to you and no one else. At some point in time you will realize this. I hope you realize it now. If not, you will come to realize this through your own experiences.
I cannot do this for you. I can point you in the right direction, provide you with some excellent tools and give you lots of encouragement. But the bottom line is you ultimately have to do this for yourself.
You will have to work at it. More than likely you will have to work very hard at it. This is a VERY competitive industry (especially for entry level). AND, you can work your ass off, do everything right and still not get on. That's just life.
